Girl Gone Wild
When Mel Phipps founded Girl Gone Wild in 2022, her goal was simple: to bring the rich flavours of the British countryside to the family dinner table. Inspired by life as a busy mum of three, Mel knew the importance of real, nourishing food but also understood how tight time can be.
One evening, after her husband returned from a day’s shooting with pheasant breasts, she whipped up a quick supper with lardons and herbs. It was delicious, hearty, and sparked an idea. Why wasn’t it easier to enjoy wild game at home?
Girl Gone Wild makes pheasant and wild venison as convenient as any mid-week meal. Mel’s ready meals and sous-vide recipes, made with 100% British game, pair rich sauces with comforting flavours the whole family can enjoy.
Dishes like Wild Venison Meatballs in Puttanesca Sauce and her Wild Venison Steaks have earned Great Taste Awards. Full of flavour and nutrients, they taste just as fresh from frozen as homemade.
For families who care about where their food comes from, Girl Gone Wild is a thoughtful choice. All ingredients are responsibly sourced and 10% of profits support the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust. Wholesome, easy and wonderfully wild, this is countryside cooking made for real life.
